Annabel Fritz

Annabel S. Fritz, 95, of Marshalltown, went to be with the Lord on the morning of January 7, 2010.The celebration of her life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service on Tuesday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. She was the daughter of Matt and Alice (Dudley) Shaffer. On June 23, 1935, Annabel married Martin Fritz in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The couple lived in Marshalltown most of their married lives. Martin passed away on January 25, 2009.Annabel spent much of her adult life working for local greenhouses. She loved to bake for the farmers market, gardening, and spending time with her family.Left to cherish Annabels memory are: Charles (Mitzi) Fritz of Escanaba, MI, Marilyn (Ed) Tordoff of Albion, Larry "Butch" Fritz of Pine Bluff, AR, LaVerne (Carol) Fritz of Westminster, CO, and Gary (JoAnne) Fritz of Trinidad, TX; her 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.In heaven, Annabel rejoins her parents; her husband, Martin; and her brothers and sisters.
