Audrey Jane Smith

Audrey Jane Smith, age 76 of Melbourne, Iowa passed away peacefully at home under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home on May 22, 2025 and she is now home with her Lord and Savior. Audrey’s wishes was cremation and no formal service, a family graveside service will be scheduled later.

Audrey was born to Cornelius and Ruth Keith on January 30, 1949 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. She relocated to Marshalltown in the early 70’s. Audrey worked at Fisher Controls and Mycogen seed lab. Audrey married Keith Smith on July 11, 1986. She enjoyed search word puzzles, fishing and Street Rods. Audrey and Keith traveled all over the U.S. and into Canada in a 1936 Chevy pickup. Audrey was a proud member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Joe, Sonny, Matt, Jasper and sisters: Rebecca, Barbara and Kathleen. Left to cherish her memory is a brother, Ricky Keith of Bardstown, Kentucky, her loving husband, Keith, daughters: Mindy Cooper (Tony) of Marshalltown, Lori (Brad) Rozell of Marshalltown, Leslie (Mark) Brown of Melbourne along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her little dog, Ruthie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, Marshalltown, Iowa and/or the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted to the care for Audrey.
