Austin D. Jordan

September 22, 1956 — December 11, 2024

Austin D. Jordan, age 68, of LeGrand, Iowa and formerly of West Virginia passed away on Wednesday December 11, 2024, at Mary Greeley Medical Center with his family by his side.


A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday December 19, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. at Grace Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior to the service, also at the church. Pastor Bob Kosbau will be officiating. Austin will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Maplewood, MN. at 2:00 P.M. on Friday December 20, 2024. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Austin Dean Jordan was born on September 22, 1956, in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was the son of Harold Dwight and Roma Eileen (Flowers) Jordan. After attending high school Austin decided to serve his country in the armed forces. He spent a little over 9 years in the United States Army. On January 1, 1995, he married the love of his life, Marlane (Lindbom) Jordan in St. Paul, MN. They both eventually made their home in Le Grand, Iowa. Austin held several jobs during his working career. This included becoming his own boss as an operator/owner of a long-haul trucking company. During his free time, Austin enjoyed golfing, watching T.V., mowing his own lawn to perfection, wood working, watching Kansas City Chiefs football, but most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife Marlane Jordan, his three children: Kevin (Karin) Woodrum of Virginia, Annissa Robinson, and Jeremy Morris both of Marshalltown, IA.; his grandchildren: Allyvia “Lyvi” Garza, Colton Robinson, Allanna Robinson, Saskia (Colin) Edwards, Christian Woodrum, Eric Woodrum, Cody Woodrum, and Josie Garza; his great-grandsons Tristian, and one boy to arrive next year; his sister Sheila (Walter) Manning of West Virginia; many in-laws, nieces, and nephews; and his favorite Chihuahua, “Benji”.


Austin is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Roma; and his two brothers: Harold Jordan and David Flowers.
