Baby Hudson Simms

Baby Hudson James Simms entered this world on the morning of July 21st, 2022, and went into the arms of Jesus on the afternoon of July 23, 2022 at Blank Children’s Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa, from the arms of his loving parents. Funeral services for Hudson will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Journey Church beginning at 11:00 a.m with graveside service following at Hillside Cemetery in State Center. A public visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00. Memorials in Hudson’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation. Hudson was eager to make his presence into this world, but his arrival was just too soon to be able to stay for very long. Hudsons time in the womb was filled with lots of stories and music. He heard lots of soft and soothing songs played by his Mama, but seemed to prefer the Metallica coming from his Daddy’ s guitar. In his brief time on this earth, Hudson stole the hearts of many. He was dedicated to the Lord on Saturday, July 23,2022. Hudson is survived by his parents Bruce and Megan Simms; his grandparents, Kim Goecke, Jeff & Cassidy Simms, Mary & Travis Cherry, and Tony & Dana Jacobs; his great-grandparents, Jim Bruce, Linda Bruce, Gordon Simms, Ben Randall, Marlys Hauser, and Barb & Mark Harkins; and his aunts and uncles, Christian Jacobs, JJ Simms, Gavin Lewis, Holden Simms, Sophie Simms, and Brynna Jacobs. He was rejoined in eternal life by his great-grandma Andrea Simms.
