Barbara "Barb" Ann Frederick

Barbara Ann Frederick, 80, of Marshalltown, Iowa, left her earthly life to join Jesus on the morning of Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Southridge Specialty Care under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice. A public visitation for “Barb” will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home.  There will be a Celebration of Life beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Newswander leading it.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Barb’s name to her family which will be later designated elsewhere.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.  Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Barb and her family.  Barbara Ann Weaver was born on January 5, 1938 in Winterset, Iowa the daughter of Wayne and Lillian (Beem) Weaver.  She was a very hard working woman, dedicating her time and effort as office management in different work places.  Barb was a proud member of the Garden Club.  She also had a passion for her family, gardening, nature, hummingbirds and all other animals, especially dogs.  Barb loved and enriched the lives of all those who were blessed to be a part of her life and her theirs. Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Tammie (Joel Engle) Frederick, Vince (Lori) Frederick and Kory (Cindy) Frederick; grandchildren: Isaac, Logan, Bo and Kourtney; great-grandchildren: Archer, Ryker, Rowan, Alayna, Emery, Reagan, Sadie and Andy; as well as her four legged furry companion, Lily. She is preceded in death by her parents: Wayne and Lillian; step-father: Charles Comstock and granddaughter: Gaynelle Frederick.
