Barbara Jones

Barb Jones, age 55, of Ford, WA, formerly of Marshalltown, passed away as the result of a traffic accident on the night of Saturday, May 25th, near her home.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation with her family will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Private interment will be at a later date. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234.

Born on June 8th, 1968, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of David and Carla (Wedgwood) Jones. When she was four years old, she and her mother had the blessing of marrying David McWilliams. They made their home in Marshalltown where she received her education and graduated from the Marshalltown High School’s Class of 1987.

Barb always had a strong work ethic, she worked at Comfort Inn, Swifts, and was in the food service for years before her last career at Brookdale Nursing Home in Spokane, WA. Barb loved her family, cats, and had a great memory.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children- James (Sarah) Harsha of Newton, Dean Oziah of Marshalltown and Midajah Propp of Marshalltown; granddaughter Harper Newcomb; her dad David McWilliams of Marshalltown and brothers- Matt McWilliams of Marshalltown, Rob (Jennie) McWilliams of Wellsburg and Pat McWilliams of Ames as well as her longtime companion, David Langwell of Ford, Washington and many friends.

In death, Barb rejoined her mom.
