Barb Trittien, 75, of Tama, died Wednesday, May 13th, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Shomo officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Born Barbara Jean Jarman on May 23rd, 1933, in Nevada, Iowa, she was the daughter of Guy and Cecil (Schoonover) Jarman. She received her education in the Marshalltown Schools. On December 1, 1951, in Marshalltown, she was united in marriage to Gordon Trittien. They made their home in Marshalltown, Union-Whitten, Florida and most recently Tama. She was a homemaker and treasured her family, making crafts and dancing. Left to cherish her memory is her sons: Greg (Linda) of Toledo and Scott (Fran) of Marshalltown, grandchildren: Jeremy Trittien (Doris Walsh) of Montour, Chanda (Kevin) Bovenmyer of Gladbrook, Carrie Klosterman of Sioux City, great grandchildren: Tayler, Alec and Cade Bovenmyer and Isaac Neel and her sister Janet (Harvey) Price of LeGrand. In death she has rejoined her parents, her husband Gordon, brother Junior Irvin in infancy and nephew, Bruce Price.
