Barbara Wilder

Barbara Jeane Wilder, 76, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa, on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Barbara was born on July 15, 1942 in Marshalltown, to Manuel T. and Iver Jeane Bailey. She attended the Marshalltown school system and was employed at Marshalltown Instruments and Iowa Veterans Home until she was disabled. Barbara volunteered in the Foster Grandparents program for many years. Barbara enjoyed fishing, cooking, reading, watching her soaps and going to church. Barbara united in marriage to Ruverta “Rudy” Wilder. Left to cherish her memory is her granddaughter, Thailyn (Widgett) Washington; grandson: Jaramie Trumbo, great-grandsons; DeQuan, DeAnDre, Thomas, Trevan, Romell, Tyrell, Jordan, Jaramiah, Tiegon; great-granddaughters: Talia, Shelyn, Tenisha; great-great-grandchildren: Thalianna, Gia; her brother Manual Bailey; sister, Denise (Willie) Andrews; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Rudy; her only child Sheryl Trumbo; parents Manuel and Iver Jeane Bailey; sister Sybil Bailey; brother Edward Bailey; and grandson Cortez Trumbo. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at noon with a visitation starting at 11 a.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
