Barry Bond

Barry Bond, 67, of LeGrand, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Iowa River Hospice Home with his loving family by his side. Barry Bond was born on September 24, 1950 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of David A. Sr. and Blythe (Clark) Bond.  He was raised and educated in the Marshalltown School District, graduating from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1968. He was united in marriage to Barbara Kern on September 5, 1970 at Amity Church in rural Reinbeck.  From this union two children were born: Jenna and Kevin.  Barry dedicated 42 years of his working life to Lennox before retiring in 2011.  He had a passion for the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes, Kansas City Chiefs and spending time at the casino. Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Barb Bond; children: Jenna (Jeremy) Fuller of Ferguson, IA, and Kevin Bond of LeGrand, IA; two grandchildren: Kelcy Peters and Noah Bond; five brothers: David A. Bond Jr. of Marshalltown, IA, Raymond (Sharon) Bond of Arvada, CO, Dennis (Joellen) Bond of LeGrand, IA, Jeff (Mary) Bond of Marshalltown, IA and Mike (Marianne) Bond of Marshalltown, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents: David A. Sr. and Blythe Bond; as well as one infant sister.
