Bernadine M. Jones

Bernadine M. Jones, 86, of West Des Moines, formerly of Keokuk, died Saturday, September 6th, 2008 at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines. A Celebration of Bernadines life will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown with Pastor Bobby Shomo officiating. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Bernadine and her family, phone 641-844-1234. Born on April 6th, 1922, in Marshalltown, Bernadine was the daughter of Henry and Emelia (Odhe) Buschbom. Bernadine was raised, and graduated high school in the Marshalltown area. In 1945 she was united in marriage to Richard W. Jones at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, in Nashua, Ia. The couple made their home in Keokuk. Bernadine was a homemaker, and owned and operated a Fuller Brush distributing business. She very much treasured taking care of her family, and enjoyed gardening. Bernadine and Richard later moved to West Des Moines to be near their son, Allan. Left to cherish Bernadines memory are her husband Richard, son Allan Jones, her brother Lannie Buschbom, as well as a host of friends. In death, Bernadine has rejoined her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
