Bernice Bee Wilson, 100, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on September 5th, 2015, at Grandview Heights Nursing and Rehab in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Bernice Mildred Erickson was born on September 21, 1914, in Bowdon, North Dakota; she was the daughter of Julius and Sena (Blom) Erickson. Bernice attended School in the Mapleton Community School district graduating with the class of 1936; she went on to receive her Nursing Degree from the Evangelical School of Nursing in Marshalltown, Iowa. On June 14, 1941, Bernice was united in marriage to Manning R. Wilson at the Grace Evangelical Church on Marshalltown, Iowa. She retired from Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center Pediatrics department after 40 years of faithful service. She had been a member of the Grace United Methodist and Hope United Methodist Churches in Marshalltown. Bernice enjoyed her friends and family, bingo, cards, cooking, quilting, square dancing, and fishing. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Denise Jo Wilson and Michael Wayne Wilson both of Marshalltown, Iowa. Grandchildren, Kim (Mike) Coleman, Jodi (Steve )Haas, Dan Gifford (Amenda), Bret Gifford and Tyler Wilson, Great-grandchildren; Clayton Coleman, Chase Abshier, Jacob and Benjamin Gifford, and sister Josephine White. In death Bee rejoins her parents; Julius and Sena, husband, Manning Wilson, daughter and son-in-law; Judith Ann and Jim Gifford and siblings Ednar, Oliver and Mabel.
