Bette J. Fullerton

Bette Fullerton, 86, of Marshalltown, died March 3, 2010, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with her grandson Robbie at her side. Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Riverside Cemetery. There will be no visitation. For condolences please visit www.mitchellfh.com . Born Bette Jane Bonner on March 27, 1923, to George and Bonnie (Phipps) Bonner, she attended and graduated from Marshalltown schools. Bette had lived in Dayton, Ohio, and in Marshalltown. She had worked at Hermans Department Store in Marshalltown and at Olives in Ames, retiring from the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center dietary department. Bettes pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed walking, reading and her pets. Bette will be remembered for her stylish and elegant look, never leaving the house without looking her best. Left to cherish Bettes memory are her children: Ronald (Sandy) Reece of Iowa Falls and Tami (Douglas) Sparks of St. Anthony; her grandchildren: Robert, Courtney, Dustin, Micah, Debra, Jason, Jeremy, Zach and Josh; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Sims of North Bend, Wash. In death, Bette rejoins her parents, George and Bonnie, whom she loved and admired.
