Betty J Mundt

Betty J. Mundt, 91, of Madrid, formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa and Eldora, Iowa died on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Madrid Home in hospice care.

Graveside services for Betty will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Eldora with a luncheon to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldora. Betty was born on October 21, 1932 in Chelsea, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Esther (Goldsworth) Enegar. She graduated from Toledo High School in 1950. On March 21, 1952, Betty was united in marriage to William F. Mundt. Betty enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Surviving are her children, Linda Hay, Vicki (Paul) Waters, Sandra (Michael) Johnson, William J. (Kathryn) Mundt, and Debra (Michael) Forristall; two sister’s-in-law: Betty Grage and Karlene (Lewis) Helbig; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband in 2007; her parents; her aunt and uncle; one grandson; her mother and father in-law; a sister in-law; and three brother's-in-law.
