Betty Jean Perry

Betty Jean Perry, 80, of Marshalltown, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her home.

Funeral services for Betty will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be prior to the service; starting at 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family. Betty Jean Miller was born on July 19, 1943 in Green Mountain, Iowa. She was the daughter of Raymond and Bernadine (Hastie) Miller. Betty graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1961. Betty had worked as a cook at Mid-Iowa Community Action. She loved the job because she got to work with children every day. Betty enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, adult coloring books and watching anything on television to do with animals.

Betty is survived by her children: Ron (Kari) Rosine of Kansas, Greg Nason of Ankeny, Lori Pantoja of Marshalltown, Lisa Kolontar of Altoona, Mike (Amanda) Miller of Newton and Kimi Torres of West Des Moines. Grandchildren: Matthew, Andrea, David, Elizabeth, Hector, Maggie, Orlando, Benito, Olivia, Xcaret, Tibor, Tyler, Tasha, Patrick, Cody, Traviss, Javier, Isabella, Connor, Adam, Winnie, Trip and Raven along with numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister: Shirley Hayne of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband: Robert Perry; parents: Raymond and Bernadine; brothers: Ray Miller and Bobby Miller and grandson: Andres Favela-Lopez.
