Betty Lou (Lewis) Stevenson was born on October 23, 1940 in Cincinnati, Iowa. Her family moved to Ferguson, Iowa before her senior year of highschool, where she graduated from.

Betty was married to John Edward Stevenson on October 23, 1966. They raised their four children in the Marshalltown area.

Betty loved to crochet and quilt blankets for loved ones. She loved sitting and talking with her grandchildren. In her middle years she attended dart leagues on Tuesday and Thursdays. She enjoyed baking pumpkin bread and making candies to hand out at Easter and Christmas to all the family.

She will be remembered for her sarcastic humor, quick wit, and the amazing ability to make the inocent feel her guilt trip. But, mostly be remembered by making everyone and everybody feel loved and welcomed. She was referred to by many as Granny, and took pride in this.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings Ila (Chuck) Taft, Bill Lewis, Carolyn (Jack) Stansberry, and Jessie White. Her children Elmer Stevenson, Doug Stevenson, Betty Brown, and Kimberly (Bryan) Cox. Her grandchildren Nikolas (Crystal) Stevenson, Shane (Tammy) Brown, Terry James (Rachel) Brown, Chester John (Christine) Brown, Mike Barnes, Michelle (Bob) Brown, Jeramy Brown, Terrissa Riemenschneider, Chris (Dani) Brown, Marissa Brown, Shannon (Austin) Grimes, Aspen (Jake) Mason, Autumn Brown, and Caleb Cox. Her twenty-four great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. And her many beloved nieces and nephews.

In eternal life, Betty has been reunited with her parents (Earl & Eileen Lewis), her husband (John Stevenson), her sisters (Marilyn Esmeyer & Linda Lewis) and her son in law (Terry Brown).

Thank you all for celebrating and remembering Betty Lou Stevenson's life with us. She will forever live on in our hearts.
