Betty Lou Weiny, 64, of Albion, died early Friday morning, April 24, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A memorial gathering and lunch will be at Noon on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Anson Park Shelter House. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Betty and her family, phone 641-844-1234. Betty Lou Willson was born on September 19, 1944, in Iowa City. She was the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Spurgeon) Willson. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1962. On March 5, 1966, Betty married Philip Weiny at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown. Betty was the manager of Caseys General Store in Albion for a few years. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and enjoyed her household. Left to cherish Bettys memory are her husband, Philip, of Albion; her children, James(Serena) Weiny of Nashville, TN, and Michael(Jana) Weiny of Benton, MO; her grandchildren, Nikki Weiny, Andrew Weiny, Zachary Weiny, Marissa Weiny, and James Weiny Jr.; her great-grandchild, Jayla Weiny; her siblings, Delores Kriegel, Larry Willson, Terry Willson, Gary Willson, Connie Doran, Debbie Fisher, and Becky Radcliff; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.In death, she has rejoined her parents and her brother, Jerry Willson.
