Beverley P. Mattson

Beverley P. Mattson, 84, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away, Thursday, March 17, at Southridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center and under the care of Iowa River Hospice.Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday March 25, 2011, at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Beverley attended numerous schools growing up and graduated from State Center High School with the Class of 1944. She was united in marriage to Roger E. Mattson on July 21, 1946, at the family home at 912 South 2nd Avenue, in Marshalltown. She worked part time at several different businesses in Marshalltown. She and Roger had three children, Linda, Thomas and Vicki. Beverley was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She had a great love of animals and was a member of the Humane Society. Beverley enjoyed working on crafts and miniatures but her favorite times were with her family and friends.Beverley is survived by her daughter Linda Matney of Marshalltown , her son Reverend Thomas E. (Janet)Mattson of Lisbon, Iowa , her grandchildren: Ronda Matney of Marshalltown, Rusty (Jamie) of Liscomb, Ronny Sue Matney of Liscomb, Andrew (Sarah) Mattson of Sioux City and Virginia (Eric) Olmstead ofBroomfield, Colorado, and her great-grandchildren: Blake, Terry, Casey, Matthew, Nicholas and Bennett.Beverley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger, her daughter Vicki and her son-in-law Ron.
