Beverly Fahrenkrug

Beverly A. (Mrs. Robert) Fahrenkrug, 68, of Marshalltown, died Thursday evening, February 28th, at the Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center while in their care and the Iowa River Hospice. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Iowa River Hospice, the MDA-ALS Foundation of Cedar Rapids and Minneapolis, and Southridge for the love and care she has received during her battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease).Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3rd, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home hospitality room. At the age of six, her family moved to Des Moines and she graduated from the Roosevelt High School. Beverly was employed at the Federal Reserve in Des Moines until meeting her future husband, Bob and moving to Marshalltown. The two were married on July 8th, 1983. Mrs. Fahrenkrug was a member of the New Hope Christian Church, the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed her family, sewing, shopping, angels and was a loveable, supportive person. She will be greatly missed by many. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bob, son Dennis Baldwin and his son Joey of Waukee, Bobs children: Jody (Jim) Wiegand of Marshalltown and their daughter Shay; Jerry (Sue) Fahrenkrug of Newton and their children Jeri Su, Justin and Josh and Jeri Sus son Kegan, brothers Richard and Mike Tesar of Des Moines and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her parents, a daughter in infancy and daughter Raschel Simmons.
