Beverly Joann Renken

Beverly Renken, 79, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, surrounded by her loving family. There will be no services at this time. Burial will be at a later date in Hansel Cemetery in Elkport, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa River Hospice Home in Beverlys name. Beverly JoAnn Hansel was born on November 13, 1937, in Garber, Iowa; she was the daughter of Dale and Marjorie (Waterman) Hansel. She attended school in the Colesburg Community School District graduating with the class of 1955. She went on to Cosmetology School and opened her own Salon, His and Hers Designs in Marshalltown and Toledo. On September 3, 1994, Beverly was reunited in Marriage to Charlie Renken in Iowa City, Iowa and they had resided in Marshalltown, Iowa. Beverly enjoyed cross word puzzles, sewing, cooking, gardening and restoring furniture. Left to cherish Beverlys memory is her husband, Charlie, children, Scott(Sindie) Zeman of Solon, Iowa, Steve(Chad) Zeman of Iowa City, Iowa and Kathy(Charlie) Zeman-Nicholas of Dallas, Texas. Grandchildren, Robin, Melissa, Kristine, Shelby, Chelsea, Beau, Alex and Colin. Siblings, Shirley, Karen, Sandy and Patsy. In death Beverly rejoins her parents and brothers, Lester, Roger and Neil.
