Beverly Risius, 75, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at her home, with her loving family by her side. Memorial Services for Beverly will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Dr. Kim Wilson, Pastor of the United Church of Christ officiating along with Pastor Gary Dean. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Beverly and her family. Beverly Risius was born on August 17, 1937, the daughter of Everette and Sophia (Loney) Frye. She was raised and educated in the Marshalltown school district. Beverly was united in marriage to Don Risius on November 25, 1966 in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked at the Iowa Veterans Home for 10 years. Beverly had a true passion for playing cards, bowling, dancing, roller skating, camping, cooking and the Hawkeyes. Beverly is survived by her husband Don Risius of 46 years; children: Deb Moore Cripps, David Moore, Diane Moore, Darla (Richard) Ingledue, Dixie (Dave) Moore Clark and Dottie (Marcus) Moore McCoy; three brothers: Bob Frye, Rudy Frye and Ronnie Frye; multiple grandkids and great grandkids as well as several nieces, nephews and step-children. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sons at birth.
