Blanche Moyer, 91, of Marshalltown, died Friday evening, December 9, at the Grandview Heights with her son at her side.Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Born Blanche Shelton on May 24, 1920, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Ralph and Emma (Anderson) Shelton. She graduated from the Marshalltown High School.In 1938, she was united in marriage to Harold Moyer in Unionville, MO. They made their home in Marshalltown where she was employed at Marshalltown Packaging Corporation for 20 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ and enjoyed volunteer work at the MMSC. In years past, she was involved raising Shetland ponies and other breeds with her family. Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted son, Larry of Marshalltown, her sisters-in-law Esther Gough and Genevieve Workman both of Marshalltown and nieces and nephews. In death, she rejoined her husband Harold, her parents and sister Loreita Wenke.
