Bonnie Batesole, 82, of Marshalltown, died at her residence on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Funeral services for Bonnie will be held Tuesday, February 8, at 1:30 p.m., at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., on Monday, February 7, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed in Bonnies name to the Animal Rescue League. She was raised and educated in Marshalltown, graduating from the Marshalltown High School. Bonnie was married to Harold Batesole and following their marriage, they made their home in Marshalltown. During her lifetime Bonnie was employed for several years at the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company, retiring in the 1970s. During her retirement Bonnie enjoyed visits to the casino and also loved to spend time at monthly lunches with her many close friends from Iowa Electric and school classmates. Bonnie is survived by her nephew Rick (Carrie) Gonzales of Marshalltown, her niece Terri (Wayne) Hendryx of Kellogg, Iowa, her sister-in-law Lona Gonzales, her great-nieces and great-nephews: Josh, Justin, Joey, Tiffany, Krystal, Erick, Piper Faye and Michaela, her step-daughter Karon Batesole of California, several close classmates and friends and her special pet cat Nuisance. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Nellie, her husband Hal and her brother Derald Bud Gonzales.
