Bonnie Weaver

Bonnie Weaver, 83, a resident of the State Center Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died there Thursday, November 8, 2012, while under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Visitation for Bonnie will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the St. Henry Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow services at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Bonnies name to her family. A memorial fund is being established.Bonnie was born June 12, 1929, the daughter of Joe and Iva Wenke. She had one older sister, Nola. Bonnie graduated from the Toledo High School in 1947 and married Paul Weaver that same year. Bonnie and Paul made their home in Toledo until they moved to Marshalltown in 1961. After retirement, they moved to Keystone, Colorado, and later to Evergreen, Colorado. Following Pauls death in 1995, Bonnie moved back to Marshalltown to be closer to her family. Bonnie is survived by her three children all of Marshalltown; Joe (Susan) Weaver, Sally Robertson and Kim (Jim) Lankelma, her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
