Brandie Bills, 44, of Marshalltown, passed away early Thursday morning, August 3, 2017 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 7, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A luncheon with the family will follow services. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the Highland Cemetery at Mystic, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the funeral home. She was adopted and raised by her grandparents, Frank and Betty Mercer. Brandie graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 1991. During high school, she met the love of her life, Steven Bills, and the two were united in marriage on Friday, October 13, 1996, at the log cabin in Riverview Park in Marshalltown. The two shared 26 precious years together until her passing and were blessed with five children. Brandie dearly enjoyed time with family and friends and had worked at Grandview Heights and Villa del Sol as a CNA- a job she loved. A motorcycle ride, sometimes ending up at her in-laws in Pella- was high on her list of things to do. Left to mourn her loss are Steven, her loving husband of 26 years; five children- Katie, Jonathan, Mercedies, Dakota and Daniel; grandchildren- Leah, Conner, Roxy, Athena and Aurora; her in-laws Roy and Lucille Bills of Pella as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In death, Brandie rejoined her mom and grandpa and grandma Mercer, as well as many other relatives.
