Brenda worked for Meekers Laundromat for a number of years before becoming her most important job, taking care of her family. In her free time, Brenda enjoyed going to the races in Marshalltown, taking trips to Branson, Missouri, going to Meskwaki Casino, trips to Dairy Queen for a hot fudge sundae or vanilla cone, and going to the movies. She also enjoyed taking Betty and her cousins on trips to go fishing. Her favorite thing by far was when she got to spend time with her family.
