Brian Barker

Brian Barker, 41, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2021, after a long battle with cancer at Iowa River Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. Per Brian’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials in Brian’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. Brian James Barker was born September 3, 1980 to parents Charles and Donna (Snider) Barker in Ogden Utah. Although Brian never married, he loved his family and spending time with them. He worked for Lentz Mowing until he was no longer able to work due to his health. In his free time, Brian was a simple man enjoying long walks, he loved being able to go to work just as much as going home for the day, he loved to work on various crafting projects and was into woodworking. He was able to craft something together in a timely manner if needed. Left to remember and cherish his memory are his parents, Chuck and Donna Barker; his sister, Jessica (Chad) Barker-Tiller; his brother, Byron Barker; his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his furry four-legged companion Oliver.
