Brian Witt

Brian Keith Witt, 51, of Newton, formerly a lifelong resident of Marshalltown, passed away Wednesday evening, January 19, 2022 at Mercy One in Des Moines. In accordance with his and his family’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 29th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Brian was born on July 15, 1970 in Marshalltown, the son of Walter “Keith” and Martha (Foran) Witt. He grew up in Marshalltown and graduated from the Marshalltown High School. He had worked at HyVee for eight years before accepting employment at Engineered Plastic Components in Grinnell. When not at work, Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and his faithful companion, Vivian and gaming. Survivors include his daughter, Emolly Wisecup; his son, Alexander Witt; grandson, Jaiden Wisecup; his mother, Martha Witt; his sister, Barbara McCready; his former spouse, Melanie McGill and his beloved dog, Vivian. In eternal life, Brian has been reunited with his father, Walter Keith Witt and his sister, Kathy Holtsclaw.
