Bruce Wyatt Lennie

Bruce W. Lennie, 66, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 19 at 11:00 A.M. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Montour, Iowa with Pastor Dave Martin officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the combined VFW/American Legion of the surrounding area. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for later designation. Born Bruce Wyatt Lennie on September 23, 1957 in Marshalltown, Iowa, he was the son of Eugene Sr. and Marlis (Smith) Lennie. After receiving his GED, Bruce honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked several jobs over the years, including short order cook and fitness club employee. Bruce loved growing houseplants, fishing, crossword puzzles and a good thrift store sale. He had a special love for his birds and was also an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Keil Lennie (Laura Jones) and Alicia Lennie, both of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren: Kyna and Mateo Keil and Aaliyah, Alivia, Brenton and Bria Hines; siblings: Cheryl (Larry) Bowden of Cottage Grove, OR, Tom (Diane) Lennie of Luzern, IA, Candie (Steve) Howell of Coppock, IA and Dawn Vest of Tama, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Marlis, his sisters Sandra Mitchell Pierce and Debbie Lennie and his brother Kevin Lennie.
