Byrtie Frisk

Byrtie P. Frisk, 66, of the Grandview Heights in Marshalltown, died Wednesday, February 17th, just one week prior to her 67th birthday. An informal service and gathering to say good-bye to Byrtie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20,2010 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown.Cremation rites will follow. Born on February 24th, 1943, in Oakland, California, she was the daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Dove) Moore. She graduated from the Marysville High School in 1959. Byrtie lived in California, Oregon, Washington, Texas and most recently Iowa for the past 6 years. She loved to fish, make jewelry, and listen to country music, do word search puzzles, and cook and really, people were her hobby. She loved to visit. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Glendora (Benjamin) Dodson-Murillo of Tama, Daniel Graham of Fresno, CA, Billy Burger in Washington State and Vida Dodson in California; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her siblings Robert (Tanya) Moore of Tama, Gloria (Frank) Castillo of Pflugerville, Texas, Teresa Perez of Tulare, California and Mary of Paradise, California. In death, she has rejoined her parents and husband.
