Carl Bud Muschick, 80, of Clemons, died Tuesday, March 15, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown with Dr. Rich King and Rev. Tom Bower officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Clemons Cemetery at Clemons. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234.Born Fredrick Carl Muschick on June 17, 1930, at State Center, he was the son of Frederick Carl and Grace Feldschneider Muschick. He graduated from the St. Anthony High Schools Class of 1947.In August of 1951, he was united in marriage to Janet Ingraham at Laurel. Mrs. Muschick preceded him in death in 1985. He was later married to Rose Chapman in 1989. They made their home at Clemons.Mr. Muschick farmed for over 20 years and worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad from 1970 to 1990. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the St. Anthony Alumni Association. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, the outdoors, gardening and giving away his flowers and vegetables from his harvest, building things, making birdhouses from gourds, watching birds, planning ahead and keeping active. It would be hard to find him sitting around!Left to cherish his memory are Rose, his loving wife of 22 years, his children: Jeffrey (Tammy) Muschick of Clemons, Jeremy (Stacy) Muschick of Nevada, step-daughter Julie (Darrell) Meyer of Marshalltown and step-son Bill (Chris) Chapman of Marshalltown; grandchildren-Brent (Staci) Muschick of Zearing, Brandon (April) Muschick of Liscomb, Bruce (Melissa) Muschick of Ames, Bryce Muschick of Marshalltown, Justin (Melissa) Muschick of Nevada, step-grandson- Nicholas Albright of Marshalltown; six great-grandchildren, his father-in-law Gilbert Ingraham of Laurel, sister Lorraine Butler of Kerrville, Texas, sister-in-law Donna (Jim) Wernberg in Illinois, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.In death, Bud rejoined his wife Janet and his parents.
