Carol Ann Crawford, 76, of Union, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.

Carol Butler was born on August 2, 1950 in Marshalltown. She was the daughter of Harold and Joyce (Detrich) Butler. Carol graduated from Union-Whitten High School in 1969. On February 26, 1971, Carol was united in marriage to Ralph Crawford in Kirksville, Missouri. Primarily, Carol was a housewife, but she had also worked for the United States Postal Service part-time and babysat. She enjoyed doing puzzles, diamond art and cross-stitching. Carol also liked reading and birdwatching.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ralph; siblings: Susan Butler of Union, JoEllyn (Mike) Donaldson of Union, and Jeff (Crystal) Butler of Union along with many nieces, nephews and other family members. Carol is preceded in death by her parents; nephew: Shane Butler and mother and father-in-law: Delores and Glen.
