Carol Ann Feld

Carol Ann Feld, 78, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 in the comfort of her own home with her loving family by her side. Carol Ann Downing was born on March 25, 1941 in Collins, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth Downing.  She was raised and educated in the Collins School District, where she graduated from High School.  On August 29, 1975, Carol was united in marriage to the love of her life, Mark Feld in Marshalltown, Iowa.  From this union two children were born: Jeremiah and Laura.  They joined Carol's two children Anita and Brett from a previous marriage.Carol was a hard working woman dedicating a majority of her working career at Wolfe Eye Clinic as a medical transcriptionist.  She was kindhearted, fun-loving, and a creative thinker. She enjoyed puzzles, sewing, gardening, camping, bird watching, playing golf, and going on motorcycle rides. Most importantly was all of the time she spent with her loving family and friends. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Mark Feld; children: Anita Grocholski, Brett (Juanita) Buffington, and Laura (Travis) Hornberg; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Ruth; son: Jeremiah Jon and grandson: Jonathon.
