Char Boyd

On Friday, December 11, 2015 our beloved Charlene Lorraine Boyd, 66, left us to be with her mom, brother and twin sister. Char was born on April 9, 1949 in Marshalltown to Charles H. and Anna Lucille (Rust) Boyd. She always said she was a true 49er (4-9 of 49). Char was very proud of this. Chars early years were in Marshalltown graduating at MHS in 1967. She worked at Mid-West Spring and 20 years at Fishers. She also worked at the Casino before moving to Omaha where she retired from 1st Data in 2014. On January 27, 1973, she was united in marriage to Darwyn White, and had one son Cameron. They later divorced, but remained friends until his death on August 27, 2007. In July 2014 Char moved back to Marshalltown to live with her father. Char loved to read, travel, do jig saw puzzles, visit with friends on Facebook, but most importantly she loved her family. Char was planning a trip to Oregon, when her health took a turn and she was no longer able to travel. This was devastating to her. Char will be missed deeply by her son Cameron (Lisa Davis) of Portland, OR; grandson: Jacob White of Marshalltown; father: Charley Boyd; sisters: Karen Boyd and Kim Boyd; brother: Terry (Melaina) Boyd of Marshalltown and also her very special dog: Kyoti. Those waiting for Char are her dear mother, Anna Lucille Boyd, brother: Vernie Boyd and twin sister: Darlene E. Baer. Also former husband, Darwyn White and both sets of grandparents.
