Charles W. Allison of Marshalltown died Monday, December 13, 2010, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.A memorial service will be held on January 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Phone 641-844-1234.Charles William Allison was born on July 15, 1933, in Nashua, Iowa to Cecil Allison and Lena (Schmidt) Allison. Charlie graduated from Nashua High School. On August 22, 1987, Charlie married Carol Ann Julson at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. They had resided in Marshalltown until his death. Charlie had worked at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown for 28 years retiring in 1995. Charlie had been a member of the local UAW. Charlie loved and enjoyed his family, and also hunting and fishing in his earlier years.Left to cherish Charlies memory is his wife of 23 years, Carol, his children: Deb Allison (Eann Raines) of Tigard, Oregon, Dave (Mary) Allison of New Hampshire, Kim Weatherman of Seattle, Washington, Sandy Allison of Rock Island, Illinois and Eric (Amanda) Julson of Des Moines, his 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and one sister, Mildred Lee of Charles City, Iowa and his furry friends, Sassy and Squeaker.Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers in infancy and a brother Garford Allison.
