Charles Behlers

Charles Floyd Behlers, 77, of Marshalltown, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. There are no services scheduled at Mitchell Family Funeral Home but the family will do a burial on Monday November 9, 2015 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Charles and his family. Charles Behlers was born on February 11, 1938 in Cuming County, Nebraska to Dale and Irene Roth Behlers. After High School, Charles served his country in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1967. After the service, Charles was employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed dancing. Left to cherish Charles memory is his children Daryn (Cindy) Behlers of Winterset and Kevin (Michelle) Behlers of Corning. Nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and his sisters Beverly Kai of Las Vegas, Nevada and Marleen Nelson of Lyons, Nebraska. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Dale and Irene, brothers Merlin, Warren and Doug Behlers and a brother in infancy Dallas Behlers.
