Charles Lanam, 81, of the Iowa Veterans Home, died Sunday, April 10th. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 18th, at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Charles and his family. Born on September 16th, 1934, in Fairfield, Iowa, he was the son of Christopher and Marian (Byers) Lanam. He attended school in the Fairfield area. Charles resided in Tennessee and Iowa and did electrical contracting. He served our country honorably in the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. Left to cherish his memory is his family at the Iowa Veterans Home. There are no known family members.
