Charles 'Chuck' Randall

Charles Chuck Randall, 65, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at home. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. He was the son of Raymond and Maxine (Collins) Randall. Chuck graduated from the LDF Community School District with the class of 1968. On July 12, 1986, Chuck was united in marriage to Julie Matteson in Albion, Iowa, and they resided in the Marshalltown area all their married lives .Chuck was employed at Cessford Construction Company for 40 years. Chuck loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, and loved to watch any television shows about these activities. Chuck was a member of the Albion Volunteer Fire Department. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 27 years, Julie; his children: Marty (Lisa Smith) Matteson of Marshalltown; Ranea (David Wonders) Bittner of Albion, Iowa; David (Nikole) Bailey of Liscomb, Iowa; and Chris Bailey of Albion, Iowa; Grandchildren: Zachary, Taylor and Rylie Matteson , Colton Dylan and Jarrett Bittner, Noah, Kaleb, and Jaxsen Bailey , and Dakota Warnell. Siblings: Marcia (Claude) Mull of Marshalltown; Suzanne Sellman of Washington State and Scott (Sally) Randall of Marshalltown; father-in-law, Duane Matteson; brothers-in-law: Dennis (Rosie) Matteson of Albion, Iowa; Vincent (Amber) Matteson of Liscomb; and sister-in-law, Beverly Brown of Albion, Iowa. In death Chuck rejoins his parents: Raymond and Maxine; infant brother, Raymond; and mother-in-law Carol Matteson.
