Charlotte Stewart 83, of Gilman, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Grandview Heights in Marshalltown, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Gilman. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday August 12, 2011 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Phone 641-844-1234.Charlotte Ruth Duncan was born on July 14, 1928 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clarence and Minnie (Onstad) Duncan. She was educated in the Marshalltown school district. On October 27, 1949 she was united in marriage to Herbert L. Stewart in Marshalltown, Iowa. Charlotte had worked for the SEMCO School District in Gilman and Marshalltown Manufacturing. She enjoyed High school softball, bowling, and the Gilman Senior Citizens Group.Left to cherish Charlottes memory is her son ;Douglas Stewart of Winter Park Florida, niece; Dotta Robertson of Marshalltown, sister-in-laws Alberta Coleman of Melbourne, Iowa and Marjorie Stewart of Gilman , Iowa, niece ; Ellen Failor of Marshalltown, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; Minnie and Clarence Duncan and her husband, Herbert.
