Charlotte Vanegdom

Charlotte VanEgdom, 85 of Montour, Iowa passed away on June 20, 2017, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Marshalltown church of Christ at 2205 South Center Street in Marshalltown, Iowa, with Dave Shearer officiating. Charlotte Lee Lawrence was born on May 29, 1932, in Stahl, Missouri; she was the daughter of Ernest and Cassie (May) Lawrence. She attended school in the area of her birth. On May 1, 1951, Charlotte was united in marriage to Elmer VanEgdom in Stahl, Missouri and they have resided in Tama County their entire married lives. She was a member of Marshalltown church of Christ. Charlotte enjoyed sewing, loved to garden, and canned her produce she grew, enjoyed cooking and was a great cook, and she always helped Elmer with the farm work, raising pigs and helping the kids with the dairy cattle and calves. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 66 years, Elmer; her children, Michael VanEgdom of Montour and Brenda (Mike) Dilly of Montour, Iowa and sister, Phyllis Sutton of Grinnell, Iowa. In death Charlotte joins her parents, Ernest and Cassie; son in infancy, Anthony Michael and siblings, Jerry Lawrence, Rodney Lawrence, Ernest Bud Lawrence, Janet See, Pansy Willingham, Loetta See, Shirley Steele and Annabelle Novinger.
