Cheryl Witte, 55, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the morning of November 21, 2020 in the comfort of her own home. At this time cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials in Cheryl’s name may be directed to her family for a later designation. Cheryl Jane Slifer was born May 25, 1965 to parents Robert and Sandra (Gibson) Slifer in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was one of five children. She attended school in Marshalltown and graduated with the Class of 1984.Cheryl began a family of her own raising two children Tisha and Taylor. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Iowa Veteran’s Home for a period of time before working for Berch Cabinets. She worked and got to know many friends through working at Dave’s Bar in Marshalltown as a bartender. In her free time, she loved to spend time cooking, going fishing, crafting many projects, spending time with her friends as well as going shopping especially at Aldi’s. Family was a major part of her life and she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by many. Cheryl is survived by her daughter Tisha (Richard) Hagar and Taylor Witte; her grandchildren, Alexis Hagar, Landin Taylor and Adelin Butterfield; her siblings, siblings: Robert Slifer, Jr. “Bo”, Terry (Renee) Slifer and Dennis (Maria) Slifer ; her favorite cousin and best friend Michelle Daggett; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Sandra Slifer and her brother Rod Slifer.
