Reta Chris Kirkpatrick, 60, of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at home surrounded by her family, while under the care of Iowa River Hospice.A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown. She was the daughter of William Franklin and Reta Elaine (Sheets) White, Sr. Reta attended school in the New Providence High School, graduating with the class of 1970. She then attended Kirkwood Community College, receiving her degree in Medical Coding. Reta had lived in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin for several years and the last year had lived in Marshalltown, Iowa. Reta had worked in the medical field for a number of years, but her favorite job was as a Flight Attendant for Access Air and Van Guard Airlines. She always liked to be busy crafting, stamping, scrapbooking, woodworking, matting and picture framing and refinishing furniture.Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mike Lawler of Newton, Iowa and Jennifer Farmer of Davenport, Iowa, grandchildren: Cameron Farmer of Idaho, Elizabeth Thiesen of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Vanessa Roudabush, siblings: Frank White Jr. of Marshalltown, Iowa, Pat (Todd) Brown of Lincoln, Illinois, Peggy (Bob) Henning of Lincoln, Illinois and sister-in-law Carol White of Marshalltown, Iowa and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. In death Reta rejoins her parents, William and Reta, and brother Sam.
