Chris Roberts

Christopher Roberts, 67, of West Des Moines, passed away on July 5, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center West Lakes in West Des Moines. A private family service will be held at a later date. For condolences please visit www.Mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234. Chris was born September 16, 1951 in Jackson County, Indiana. He was the son of William “Bill” and Carrie (Jamison) Roberts. After high school Chris worked for 3E as an electrical tech servicing electrical motors. He married Sharon Edler on May 18, 1991 and the two made their lives together in West Des Moines. In Chris’ free time he loved to golf, and brush up on his history; some would call him a “Buff”. He loved cars as well, but it better be a Porsche or a Chevy. Just recently he found himself a new toy of a Camaro. Chris was a loyal man and kept a long lasting friendship with his high school friends. Chris made a lasting impression on all that had the opportunity to know him. Left to cherish Chris’ memory is his wife Sharon and their children, Shannon (Chris) Johnson and Sean (Kimm) Roberts; grandchildren, Cory Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Carly Johnson, Logan Johnson and Amiya Roberts; and great-granddaughter Everlee Johnson. He also leaves behind several lifelong friends, a brother and a sister. Chris was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Carrie.
