Christopher John Perry, 44, of Marshalltown, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at a future date. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 at the funeral home. Please wear comfortable, casual clothing to the visitation and funeral. Christopher John Perry was born on February 23, 1965, in Marshalltown. He was the son of John Thomas Perry and Peggy Colleen Miller. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1983. He was a lifetime Marshalltown resident. Chris worked as a cement finisher at Quality Concrete. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, watching racing at Knoxville, and #44 Dale Jarrett. He especially treasured his nieces and nephews, who called him Uncle Dirty. Chris will be missed terribly and remembered fondly. Surviving Chris are his father, John Perry of Marshalltown; his mother, Peggy(Kenny) Lamb of Marshalltown; his brothers and sisters, Kelly Lamb, Wade(Tonya) Lamb, Matt Perry, Alex(Amber) Perry, and Aaron(Jessica) Perry; his 10 nieces and nephews, Chellbe, Scotty, Ethan, Owen, Savannah, Korbin, Kaulin, Lilly, Nick, and Joe; his longtime companion and friend, Laurie Prescott of Marshalltown; Lauries daughter, DeDe; Lauries granddaughter, Aislyn; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his four-legged friend, Sierra. In death, he has rejoined his grandparents, Florence and Cecil Miller, Margaret and Newton Perry, and Helen and Cleo Lamb.
