Cindi Mittelstadt Blayer, 54, of Marshalltown, died Friday, July 29, at the MMSC. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Albion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Born Cindi Mittelstadt on October 4, 1956, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Dwayne and JoAnne (Thomas) Mittelstadt. She graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 1975. She began her devoted working career at age 14 at the Walgreens Diner, then on to the Marshalltown Police Department (dispatcher), Diamond Daves, Godfathers Pizza and most recently Bonanza until her health declined. She enjoyed listening to Elvis, collecting bears, playing word games and being involved in her son Nates life. Cindi had been married to Robert Blayer in 1984, and later divorced. Left to cherish her memory are her son Nathan (Ashley) Blayer of Roland, mother and step-father JoAnne (Willie) Hartkopp of Iowa Falls, sisters: Vicki (Dan) Butler of Albion, Tammy (Tracy) Viers of Marshalltown and Tracy (Shawn) Beckham of Clemons, nieces and nephews: Jason Butler, Jodi Butler, Jenna (Scott) Juchems, Chase Viers, Wade Viers, Levi and Cody Beckham, and step-brothers: Kenny (Sandy) Hartkopp of Branson, MO, Randy (Teri) Hartkopp of Iowa Falls, and Ryan Hartkopp of Atlanta, GA. In death, Cindi rejoined her dad and grandparents.
