Clarence “Clancy” Ruhl, 82, of Tama, Iowa, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on the evening of February 4, 2023.

Clarence “Clancy” Ruhl was born on September 21, 1940 to parents Clarence and Elsie (Jamison) Ruhl of Perry, Iowa. He attended school in Perry, IA and graduated in 1959. Following High School, Clancy served his country in the United States Army from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1965.
In 1995 Clancy was united in marriage to Nada Haney at The Little Brown Church in the Vale, in Nashua, Iowa. Clancy was retired from Fisher Controls and was a member of the UAW Local 893 in Marshalltown, IA as well as the Eagles & the American Legion in Tama, IA. Clancy and Nada were able to spend many years together until her passing in February of 2022. They were both lovers of animals – having had horses, fainting goats, and pot bellied pigs in their earlier years together, and they both have always had cats and dogs in their lives. Clancy enjoyed bowling, working on older cars, swimming and tubing in younger years, mowing the yard, coin collecting, shooting air rifles at printed paper targets, jigsaw puzzles, and word search puzzles.
Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his children: Sandra (Greg) Moore of Toledo, Iowa and Beverly Hanus of Marshalltown, Iowa; his grandchildren, Kalina, Anthony, Jason, Joe and Holly; his great-grandchildren, Bri, Dominick, Kenna, Lucas, Hadley, and Savanna Nada-Clare; his brother, Henry Ruhl of Perry, Iowa; brother-in-law Tom (Jo Ann) Hanus of Tama, Iowa and his sister-in-law Katherine “Tig” (Mark) Croskrey of Tama, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Clancy was preceded in death by his wife Nada “Pink” Ruhl; his parents Clarence and Elsie Ruhl; his Father-in-law & Mother-in-law Vince & Nada Hanus; his Uncle Edward Ruhl; sister-in-laws: Fran Ruhl, Hazel White, and Betty Anderson; and brother-in-law Ervin Hanus.
