Cletus Heinrichs

Cletus Heinrichs, 87, (known as Tiger to his loved ones), was born in Carroll, Iowa on January, 26th, 1932, to Herman and Eleanora (Koenig) Heinrichs. Clete grew up in Arcadia, Iowa. Clete was an all-around athelete. He jokingly told his children that after he graduated from Arcadia, that the high school had to merge with two other schools to "make up for the loss of his athletic talent." Clete played on many semi-pro baseball teams for several years after high school.   Clete married Ruth Koster on Valentine's day, 1953, at St. Bernard's Catholic church, in Breda, Iowa. With this union, was born 8 children. Gary (Paula), Dale (Kathy), Jeanne Oetker, Karen (Larry) Brown, Jack (Rae), Doug (Sherie), Jeff (Geri Larson), Kristy (Brian) Gregory. Clete and Ruth have 19 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, with 1 on the way.   Clete was an active member of St. Henry's Catholic Parish, Knights Of Columbus, as well as an avid golfer, bowler, and sports enthusiast. Clete coached his children's sports teams, and attended his children's and grandchildren's sporting events. He was an avid Cardinal's baseball and football fan, and a huge Iowa State Cyclones fan.  Clete was a floor covering and installation specialist, and owned and operated Heinrichs Floor Covering until retirement.   Clete is survived by his wife Ruth of 66 years, and siblings Marvin (Maxine) Heinrichs, Delores Koster, Richard (Mary) Heinrichs, Maury (Meg) Heinrichs, sister-in-law Bernadine Heinrichs, and brother-in-law Roger Koster.  Clete is preceeded in death by by his parents and wife's parents, William and Matilda Koster, siblings Cyril and Harold Heinrichs, Janice (Denny) Loew, in-laws Bill (Loretta) Koster, Walt (Viola) Koster, Velma (Bob) Blum, Kerm (Elsie) Koster, Don Koster, Doyle (Berniece) Koster, Darlene Koster, LeRoy (Joanell) Koster, and son-in-law Ron Oetker.
