Cliff graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1966 and then went on to University Trade School in Omaha. Cliff was drafted into the United States Army in 1968 and served during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Margaret “Peggy” Lingard. They later would divorce, but stayed close to each other. Cliff owned and operated the C and C Service Center in Garwin. He was an incredible mechanic and could fix anything and everything. Cliff enjoyed his work and you could rely on him day or night, and he would always respond. Cliff was 100% an individualist and was truly his own person. He knew a lot of different people and was never judgmental to anyone. If anyone needed anything, Cliff made sure they would have it.
