Colleen Marie Ferriss

Colleen Marie Ferriss, 80, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on April 22, 2014, under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or the Marshalltown Food Pantry. Colleen Johnny Marie Beeson was born on September 13, 1933, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of Garr and Mabel (Pierson) Beeson. Colleen was a homemaker her entire life, caring for her family, the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed picnicking, gardening, and cooking. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Claude Butch (Marcia) Mull, Tom (Sue) Mull, and Kandy (Mike) Fisher, all of Marshalltown; grandchildren: Ralea (Todd), Hope (Rex) Tommy (Lisa), Cole (Andrew), Blaine, and Allison; great-grandchildren: Brittany, Kayne, Todd, Desi, Blake and Harper; and great-grandson, Max; and her good friend and neighbor, Jane Gummert. Colleen was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude H. Mull; her second husband, Earl Ferriss; brother, Jim Beeson; and sister, Verona Thake.
