Connie J. Fields

Connie J. Fields, age 65, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at UPH- Allen Memorial Hospital.

Per Connie and her family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No formal services have been scheduled at this time. Memorials in Connie’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation. Mitchell Family Funeral Home of Marshalltown has been entrusted with the care of Connie and her loving family. Connie Jean (Grout) Fields was born on February 5, 1961, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of Colin and Nellie (Hauser) Voigt. Connie started her education at the Marshalltown School District before continuing and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. She reflected on her early years, when caring for others was something she genuinely loved. In her free time, Connie loved all things crafts and watching various T.V. shows. Some of these shows included the Andy Griffith Show, and Little House on the Prairie. She also loved watching western movies and many other shows on “me T.V.”

She is survived by her three children: Jodie Olan, Wayne (Lindsey) Clapsaddle, and Rhonda (Hassan) Elshimy; her nine grandchildren: Alandria, Dante, Maria, Jose, Alicia, Chance, Jadin, Ryan, and Myles; her four great grandchildren: Souleymane, Amari, Zariah, and Xayvion; her siblings: Roberta (Kirk) Rundall, Nicole Flowers, Heidi, Shelly, Tammy, Michael (Adrian), Stacy, and Craig Voigt; and many nieces and nephews that she loved deeply.

Connie is preceded in death by her grandparents: Erma & Harold Hauser, and Ester & Paul Grout; her mother Nellie Jean Voigt; her siblings: Robert and Dean Grout; and her grandson David Carmer.
