Connie Lou Lyman

Connie Lou Lyman (81), of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on December 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. For condolences or questions, please visit:www.mitchellfh.com. Or call; 641-844-1234. Connie Lou Kendall was born to Charles and Zoella (Nutter) Kendall, on January 15, 1934 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the Marshalltown school district, graduating with the class of 1952. Following graduation, on February 8, 1952, Connie and Donald Lyman were united in marriage at Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church. Together, they made their home in Marshalltown to raise their family. Connie worked at the City Clerks office for Marshalltown, and also for Lennox Industries for many years. In 1999, Connie retired as the Purchasing Director for Western Manufacturing. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Parents and Teachers Association. Connie also spent some time as a volunteer for the Marshalltown Medical Surgical Center, as wells as Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church. She loved to go shopping and playing in the kitchen. (Connie loved to host all the family events, especially Christmas.) She enjoyed her volunteer work and spending time with her family, for whom she would do anything for. Left to cherish her memory is her husband; Donald Orrie Lyman, children; Marc Donald (Tonia) Lyman, Marchelle Dawn (David) Bergland, Leisa Zoann (Robert) Mandell, grandchildren; Dannette (Chad) Daedlow, Jason (Karena) Lyman, Amber (Jason) Roberts, Nathan (Sky) Bergland, Kelsey (Dave) Bollinger, Ashley (Nathan) Paul, Chase (Erica) McCann, great-grandchildren; Samantha & Caden Daedlow, Amberleigh & Tristan Lyman, Isabell & Ashlen Roberts, Cora, Piper & Evangeline Bergland, Isabell & Isaac Bollinger, siblings; Kristie (Mick) Flynn, Kathie (Delwin) Perry, C.D. (Dot) Kendall, and many nieces and nephews. In death she rejoins her parents; Charles Hezakiah and Zoella May (Nutter) Kendall.
